Jammu and Kashmir Police in coordination with Indian Military and Central Reserve Police Pressure (CRPF) on Friday busted and destroyed one giant underground hideout of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit.

“Based mostly on credible enter concerning presence of terrorists of proscribed outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba within the nursery space of the village Kawani Awantipora close to river Jhelum financial institution, Awantipora Police with 55 RR and 185 BN CRPF launched a search operation at this time early morning. Through the search, one giant underground hideout of Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit was busted and destroyed,” Jammu and Kashmir Police mentioned in a launch.

“Incriminating materials and an enormous cache of explosives and ammunition of proscribed outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba have been recovered from the busted and destroyed hideouts which embody – one pistol, one pistol journal, AK-47 ammunition and three grenades,” it added.

All of the supplies have been taken into police custody for investigation. A case has been registered beneath related sections of regulation at Awantipora Police Station.
