Over 18.6 lakh public complaints were gotten throughout the in 2015 and more than 16 lakh of them were redressed, the Lok Sabha was notified today.

An overall of 15,86,415 such complaints were gotten in 2018 as versus 18,66,124 in 2017, according to the information shared by Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh in a written reply.

Of these, 14,98,519 and 17,73,020 complaints were redressed in 2018 and 2017 respectively, he stated.

In 2019, an overall of 18,67,758 public complaints were gotten and 16,39,120 were redressed, the minister stated.

The Directorate of Public Grievances (DPG) in the Cabinet Secretariat has a system to amuse representation from a public plaintiff who states he is not pleased with the reaction got from the worried ministry/department within an affordable time period, he stated.
