A photojournalist was hurt on Tuesday after he was apparently battered by security forces near the website of an encounter in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kamran Yousuf declared to have continual leg injuries when he was apparently whipped by security forces while he was releasing his expert tasks at Marwal in Pulwama where an encounter with terrorists was on.

While authorities did not reject the claims levelled by the photojournalist, it stated the mediapersons were stopped at they were moving close to the cordoned location.

” Today an exchange of fire happened at town Marwal in between sfs and terrorists. Cordon was positioned to avoid individuals from venturing within as that would have threatened their security. Some media individuals attempted to move close who were properly stopped,” authorities stated in a tweet.

Kashmir Press Club knocked the supposed knocking of reporters by authorities in Pulwama and advised the Lieutenant Governor to take strong note of the event.

One multimedia reporter Kamran Yousuf got injuries due to the knocking by the authorities and was hurried to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for treatment, the club stated in a declaration.
