West Bengal minister Nirmal Maji examined optimistic for COVID-19 and was admitted to a state-run hospital right here, a well being division official stated on Sunday.

Mr Maji, who’s the minister of state for labour, was taken to the Kolkata Medical School and Hospital on Saturday evening after he was identified with the an infection, he stated.

The 59-year-old MLA from Uluberia North constituency has gentle fever and respiratory downside, he stated.

“He (Maji) is okay. We’re monitoring him very intently. His comorbidities remained a matter of concern,” the official stated.

Mr Maji had suffered a mind stroke in September and was hospitalised for a number of days, sources stated.
